2. Innovatively Defining the New Meaning of Green Hospitals

Against the backdrop of China's "Dual Carbon" goals, green hospitals have become an inevitable trend in modern hospital construction—and a key indicator of a truly exemplary healthcare facility. The Grand Canal campus has specifically incorporated green building strategies into its design, maximizing resource efficiency and minimizing environmental impact. The Huakang Clean Technology team fully leverages their expertise in HVAC, medical gases, and other specialized areas to optimize resource and energy allocation across departments such as the operating room, clinical laboratory, pathology department, and central supply unit, thereby enhancing resource and energy efficiency. We’ve put energy conservation, consumption reduction, and the creation of a green, sustainable hospital into action.

① HVAC System

When the building uses a two-pipe chilled and heated water system, the air conditioning system for specialized medical purification departments employs an independent four-pipe multi-functional chilled and heated water source, featuring a dual-loop design. This setup allows for individual cooling or heating modes, as well as simultaneous cooling and heating capabilities. The same system can simultaneously supply both cool and warm air to different areas, with each room offering flexible temperature and humidity control. As a result, the system supports multiple operational modes throughout the year, maximizing energy efficiency while significantly reducing overall operating costs. Additionally, the system automatically adjusts to meet precise cooling and heating demands, ensuring accurate temperature and humidity control across various purification departments and zones—crucial for maintaining high-quality medical environments and occupant comfort—while also promoting energy-efficient operation year-round.
